Herald receives First Place in investigative reporting

   

    The Barberton Herald, Barberton & Norton hometown newspaper for over 88 years, continually receives State and National recognition.

    The Ohio Newspaper Association has awarded the Herald First Place, Investigative Reporting, for the Downtown Cinema Series for 2011.

    Mr. Carl Boon investigated this subject for several months and put together this award winning piece.

The Herald was also awarded Third Place in Sports reporting. This is the fifth time the Herald has placed in sports coverage at the Hooper Awards in Columbus.

    Mr. Randy Broadwater and Brian Powell continue to promote and report all our student athletes, raceway and many other sporting events.
